Elder Trevor B. Darley flew into our small "Quad City" airport Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 after serving an Honorable LDS Mission in the Colorado, Colorado Springs Mission.

That night our new Stake President and his daughter drove down from Iowa City and releasted Elder Darley as a full time LDS Missionary.

March 1st Loralee finally landed an interview to work at a local hospital and was getting ready for the interview when a company that Bryce had been interviewing with called. She went to the interview anyway but told them that she was moving. So yes for Bryce being on the computer from sun-up to down-up paid off , he landed a job in the purchasing department with HNI Allsteel in Muscatine, Iowa.

He started work March 14 staying in a company appartment. So that left Loralee home again by herself and only one residential home to clean, so she quilted away.

Bryce's job at LM WindPower did not last long, thankful that we hadn't bought a house there and thankful we won't be living in the COLD.

Bryce (Grandpa Darley) was able to drive to Minot and be there when Avery was born. Avery was born before Loralee (Grandma) even left WI on the "AmTrak" train to help out and enjoy Buck's first. Not long after grandma's arrival, Grandpa headed back to Grand Forks, ND to pack up. Buck drove over a few days later and helped him load up for his long Cold drive back to WI.

Avery Sage Darley: Born January 19, 2011 in Minot, North Dakota.

Loralee is grateful for the time she was able to spent with Buck, Ashton, Sariah and Avery.

Avery is a bright and alert baby and shares features of both Buck and Ashton.

The weather wasn't to bad and Loralee was able to get out and take Sariah on a few walks.

Loralee stayed for 2 1/2 weeks while Bryce was back in WI spending sun-up to sun-down on the internet looking up jobs and sending out resumes.

Christmas morning in WI was spent with Loralee, Danielle, Jon and Maverick at our home in Jackson, WI
Loralee, because Bryce wasn't here had to do the cooking of breakfast, "Egg Muffins" her first time. Danielle made Orange Julious and plain Orange Juice.

Shock Collar instead of Buddy Heater, so I pray their power etc. doesn't go out this winter.

Bryce was told to drive his 4-Runner to work the last Thursday at H-D.

Why, because this farewell gift definitly wouldn't fit in Loralee's car.

His employees had this coffee (hot chocolate) table made for him out of stuff in the plant.

To live in the basement of this until a new home is found.

Loralee decided that since we'd be moving northwest, farther away from Shanna/Family in NJ that we needed to get the last of Shanna's stuff out of our basement and into her garage (J.R. wasn't to happy about getting more junk,lol). So in Oct. she and Danielle loaded up the 4-Runner and were off to NJ.
We arrived tired but not to tired to head to a Pumpkin Patch with the Grandkids.

The next place for Danielle and Loralee is Ellis Island

Then Halloween Cookies for Uncle (Elder) Trevor.

If you noticed we went from Summer to Autumn over night.

Our last Day with the Bensons was spent at a Corn Maze.

I wish we could have stayed longer but husbands were waiting a home in WI so we were off with a beautiful drive through the Colors of Autumn!!

Interview in Grand Forks, ND

In September Bryce and Loralee headed for Grand Forks, ND to interview with LM WindPowers. While over the Mississippi River Loralee called her sister, Julie to wish her a Happy Birthday. Bryce loved all the lakes/ponds that we passed driving through MN. It was cold and rainy when we pull into Grand Forks. We liked the lay out of the town and because the Red River flooded 10 years ago, most buildings, etc. are new.
But going from mountains, to hills and this town is FLAT!

From Grand Forks we drove west to Minot and look who we ran into at the mall.

After having lunch with Ashton we took on the task of finding their appartment complex, our GPS took us to the wrong place, Minot unlike Grand Forks, it's hilly with a lot of avenues shooting off here and there. But we finally found it and a sleepy Buck that had worked the night shift.

Both he and Ashton were tired, Loralee spent more time with Sariah their Springer Spanial taking her for walks, then with them.

We were able to attend their LDS Ward and enjoyed how friendly it is.

After spending a couple days there we drove home going down to Bismark, then to Fargo, through MN and back home. But from Bismark to Fargo we've never seen so many BUGS, we had to stop offend to clean the windshield.

Summer 2010 was uneventful and our home was taken back off the market.

We were unable to fly out for Sally's Graduation at BYU-ID. She obtained a degree in Elememtary Education. And was able to get a teaching job in Pocatello, ID. They then moved there where Sally is currently working as a Kindergraten teacher. Colt finished up all could at BYU-ID and got a job at "Cash Store" while he waits to go on to Pharmaceutical school.

Bryce was told sometime ago that when Harley-Davidson closed their Capital Dr. plant that he was going to be laid off. So he started getting serious about job hunting In May a company in Green River,WY, flew both Bryce and I out for an interview and they did make an offer and Bryce excepted it.

Our home was put on the market and they started to box things up. But while Bryce and the company were working out moving us out there, they had some management changes and flew Bryce to their main office in NJ. After that interview they decided that he wasn't quite what they wanted and took back their offer. Which was fine with Loralee because housing was terrible. The good that came out of it all was that while Bryce was in NJ he was able to spent some time with Shanna and Family.

Wednesday, April 28th Bryce and Loralee flew into the Denver, CO airport, the worst turbulence we’ve been in. We both thought we were going to lose our last meal.
Thursday night, April 29th we (Grandma/Grandpa Worthen, Ashton, Bryce and Loralee) attended Buck's nursing pinning, small and nice.
Friday afternoon a few of Buck's friends came over to celebrate. Then that night it was his college graduation, long and boring, HA!!, HA!!.

Saturday, Ashton, Buck, Bryce and Loralee toured a gold mine.

Sunday morning because of when our flight out was we couldn't attend Buck/Ashton's ward so we attended the earlier one, which was the ward that Trevor (Elder Darley) had just been transfer from and were Elder Maughan is still serving. WE were able to get a few pictures with him, but we guess we weren't suppose to because when we arrived home the camera was no where to be found and after calling the rent a car and the airport gave it up for lost.

I've been waiting for Danielle to bring over Elder T.Darley's mission pictures, but I've given up. Trevor sent his memory stick to her because she has his hard drive.

The end of March Bryce, Danielle, Jon and I (Loralee) drove the 24 hours to Utah. Bryce and Jon doing most of the driving and Danielle doing none (she had a bad cold).

In Evanston, WY she stopped just so we could buy food at "Taco Time" (none in WI) and Bryce misses it. Got to admit it way better than "Taco Bell".

We made it to Provo, UT around noon where we dropped off Danielle and Jon at a hotel so they could hang out with Jake (those goes to BYU)and take Jon to Temple Square etc. Bryce and I drove on to Payson,UT to my older sister Suzanne's where we would be staying for the night. There we quickly showered and drove back to Pleasant Grove to visit with my cousins (Lisa, Syndea and Aaron)only to find them at a track meet in American Fork, so we drove to the meet and visited with them there. After we drove back to Payson and had dinner with Suzanne and her family.

We woke up early the next morning to a snow storm (just reminded us of home, WI, lol) we ate breakfast and said our goodbyes and headed to the Salt Lake Airport area where Bryce had an interview for a job (by-the-way we haven't heard back from them), I waited in the 4-Runner, read, crocheted (?), took pictures of the bannas peel I threw out the window but didn't go into the field like it was intented and got stuck on twig, etc.

After we AGAIN stopped at a "Taco Time" (in Layton) to eat and drove and visited with Aunt Ruth and Uncle Max Owens (and one of the twins) in Clearfield, UT. Had a good visit with them, learning that they're now Ham operators.

From there we drove to Bryce's mom and step-dad's in Millville, UT in time to relax for a few minutes, change into church clothes and ride to the Logan Temple with them and Bryce's older sister, Katreena and her husband Denis to support Bryce's younger sister's (Teresa) son Justin, as he took out his endowments before he heads into the mission field. Bryce and I were asked to be the witness couple. Coming out of the Temple after we were surprise to see the van (Katreena's) with "Just Married" etc. written all over it. At first we throught that someone made a mistake, we found out later that it was Jake, Danielle and Jon, who didn't make it in time for the session. Saturday was sent with family Millville for a week early Easter Dinner, Egg Hunt and Volleyball.

Sunday we attended sacrament meeting in our old ward in Wellsville, UT to listen to our Nephew Justin Liechty speak before leaving to service the Lord in Des Moines, IOWA. We left after the meeting and drove back to Millville, changed, loaded up the 4-Runner and drove into Logan for Justin's farwell dinner. After we headed for home.

Christmas 2009

Going back a few weeks. Christmas 2009.
Jake, Danielle, Jon and some friends were over for Christmas Eve dinner and games, etc. Now Christmas morning I thought we'd sleep in with only Jake here, but wrong. Bryce is just a BIG kid, he was up at 4:30am, said he couldn't sleep. he peeped at Christmas (we dont' wrap the gifts from Santa) and watched TV for a while, but it wasn't long before Jake was up and they dragged me out. No one wanted to wait for D/J to come over. We'd exchanged and open ours and had breakfast (a tradition of ham/egg muffins and Orange Julius) and were relaxing before D/J came over. Then played a new game Shanna sent "Setters of Catan" until D/J left to have dinner with Jon's mom.

Sat. we all went and seen "Avatar" in 3-D at the Marus in Menimonee Falls, Loved it.

Trevor has been transferred to the ward that is meeting in the same building as Buck and they met up yesterday. And he gave his sister-in-law a hug saying it was ok because they're family, LOL Also his new companion is Lucas Maughan from Wellsville, Utah. So he's got to be some relative of Elder Darley's. Also the ward that he's in the same ward the Buck was first in when he was out.

thanks for all the blogs loved it and i did baptizes my first on sunday Heather gaffney and looks like the lord pressured my mission president to listen to the holy ghost becasue im headed the the pueblo stake and buck wont be in my ward but in my district so he will probably be like 5 minutes away ill be in thwe pueblo west 1st ward ill be sending u my program from the baptism and my memory card soon probably in a month u will reseave it

We are so Blessed to have the Savior in our lives

Through our Savior's teachings given to us through scripture and modern day prophets,

we have our "road maps" back to our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Starting with Trevor, now Elder Darley: In February he earning the rank of "Eagle Scout" in the Boys Scout ( he got his paperwork turned in, the night before his 18th birthday) you can see more by visiting our old blog. He worked full-time at "Quincy Resources" up until he left on his next adventure. A LDS mission, serving in the Colorado, Colorado Springs Mission. And yes it's the same mission his brother, Buck served in for the last part of his mission. In fact Elder Trevor Darley first area almost was in Buck's ward in Pueblo, CO where Buck presently lives, but the mission president was reminded that his brother was living in that ward, so he was sent 15 mins. north to Fountain.

Next Danielle, now Mrs. Jon Ward: Her and Jon were married for "Time and all Eternity" August 14, 2009 in the Nauvoo LDS Temple. they made their first home just south of both parents in Menominee Falls, WI and with that they moved out of our ward boundaries and into another LDS Ward. Danielle and Jon are both going to school. Danielle works full-time at Chase Bank in Milwaukee and Jon works two jobs one with the neighbor( in between his dad and us) in making and installing counter tops and cleaning offices at night with his mom.

Then there is Jake: He goes to school at BYU in Provo, UT, that is in between going to all the BYU football/basketball games, lol. He was just made full-time as a financial analyst at a software company

Now Colt and Sally: both are going to BYU-ID in Rexburg, ID with Sally finishing up her education degree in the spring of 2010. Colt is applying at pharmaceutical schools. They both worked for a landscaping company over the summer and now are managers for the apartment complex in which they live.

And yes there is Buck and Ashton: They live in Pueblo, CO. The past spring 2009 Ashton earned her bachelor degree in "Business Management". Both sets of parents were able to fly out for this awesome event and we had a great time. She is now training to be a manager for "Buckle". Buck passed his boards for LPN and is working on his RN nursing degree which will be accomplished in the spring of 2010. They also added "Sariah", a springer spaniel puppy to their family, she was a graduation gift for Ashton.

We can't forget Shanna, J.R., Karlie, Nathan and Gavin: Shanna is busy with the kids while J.R. finishes up he last year of residency in Flemington, NJ and guess what they will be staying in NJ. J.R. has excepted a job at a clinic in Flemington. Good for them but we were hoping they'd get something a little closer. Shanna and kids did fly out to WI for 3 weeks to party with grandma/grandpa and we had FUN!

And last but not least is Mom and Dad: Now "Empty Nester's" . Bryce is still hanging by a thread at Harley-Davidson and is our LDS ward's Executive Secretary. Loralee cleans residential homes, teaches the CTR 8 class in primary (our LDS ward's children's Sunday school) and was (was released today 12-20.2009, from both) the ward's Girls 8-9 Activity Day leader.

I told some friends (Nicki and Jake Morton, that use to live in our ward, but now live in a Milwaukee ward) about Trevor and almost being in Buck's ward and this is what they e-mailed back.

Funny story...thanks for sharing.I'm not sure if I told you or not, but Trevor was mentioned by a member of our ward in testimony meeting. The member from our ward, ran into Trevor when he was stranded at the airport. He was very impressed with Trevor in general, and talked about the fact that Trevor used that downtime in the airport to share the gospel with someone. Amazing! What a great missionary, sharing the gospel in the airport, on the way to the MTC.

Buck (Trevor's oldest brother) called last night, Trevor came very close to being put in Buck's ward(congregation). Buck's ward had two senior companions and when they went to get they're new "Greenies" (New missionaries) they first put Trevor with the missionary that was staying in Buck's ward, but then the senior mis...sionary reminder them that Elder T. Darley has a brother in that ward, so they switched and sent Trevor (Elder T. Darley) to Fountain a town just north of Pueblo. The other "Greenie" that was sent to Buck's ward is Elder Dayley,(true) LOL and in Trevor's first letter from CO said that the day they arrived they both had on the same tie.
